Not to be a cheapskate ...

but really. Yesterday, I brought soup to work with me to eat for lunch but didn't have a spoon. So I went downstairs to Café Kimball and asked for one.

And they charged me eight cents.

Eight cents. For a plastic spoon.

I know the economy is rough, but I still kind of think it was a joke.

Funny. Come to me and I'll give you one for free. College gets you coming and going.

I didn't get a chance to reply to you when you texted this to me before, so I'm glad I get a chance to now. First of all, HILARIOUS. Second of all, eight cents? Seriously? Who came up with 8? Thirdly, did you even have the lose change to pay for it? Because the only way this story could get any better is if I found out you had them charge it to your debit card. How awesome would that be? Fourth, did you ask for a receipt? Please tell me you did. Fifth, next time walk to mom or dad's office for crying outloud. :)
